Made in New England from upcycled Oak logs. The bowl is dipped in a solution of steel wool and vinegar which naturally turns the wood black. The bowl is then finished with a combination of Tung and Citrus Oils.

Normally, local tree service companies would get rid of, chip up or make firewood out of decaying logs – and that’s where they come in. Petermans Boards and Bowls Inc. embraces the natural decomposition that gives each of our wooden serving boards and bowls a distinctive character. They proudly use woods local to central New England: the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont forests are a rich resource.
