Rodney Scott's World of BBQ
We can smell the smokey pork already.
PRODUCT:
The first Black pitmaster to publish a cookbook, James Beard Award-winning chef Rodney Scott shares his passion for barbecue, his family traditions and his culinary legacy in this beautifully illustrated book. Scott cooked his first whole hog, a specialty of South Carolina barbecue, when he was just 11 years old. At the time, he was cooking at Scott's Bar-B-Q, his family's barbecue spot in Hemingway, SC. Four decades later, he is the proprietor of his own celebrated barbecue joint: Rodney Scott's Whole Hog BBQ in Charleston, SC. It is one of the most awarded and dished about destinations for all things smoked and grilled in the country. In this book, you'll find recipes that help you recreate the flavors his restaurant is known for with easy-to-follow instructions. Smoked turkey, barbecue spare ribs, smoked chicken wings, hush puppies, Ella's banana pudding and an award-winning whole hog are among the delicious creations he has perfected. Along the way, you'll learn about Scott's modern American success story— from small town farmer to celebrated entrepreneur.
