Acapulco Block Print Tea Towel
A modern take on traditional handcraft.
PRODUCT:
The Acapulco block print tea towel is created with the traditional printing process called block printing. It has been perfected by artisans over many generations. It all begins with carving the designs into wooden blocks, a process that is itself an art form. From there, the blocks are dipped in dye and meticulously stamped onto fabric to create beautiful repeat patterns. Whether used to dry chefs' hands or delicate dishes, they'll add a splash of handicraft, and function to your kitchen.

MAKER STORY:
Founded by a South African immigrant, who moved to Vancouver with two small children and no network of support, this women-owned, women-run company puts the focus on meaningful connections. The company name, Indaba, is the Zulu word for "a gathering of people." Founder Irene and her daughter source products from small businesses and artisans all over the world. The line includes linens, serveware, glassware, home accessories, baby gifts and more. Many of the items are handmade and small batch, and sourced from natural materials.
