Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, founder Tai Rittichai's artistic upbringing and interest in jewelry making blossomed into a full-time business in 2002. With a bachelor's degree from California State University, she was drawn to Los Angeles, CA, where she noticed a lack of fine jewelry with high-quality finishing and details. She began selling high-quality bracelets at the Santa Monica flea market, where high-end boutiques notice her work. Today, she offers an extensive selection of jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings, to specialty boutiques, catalogs and major retailers worldwide. Tai Jewelry employs and supports top female artisans and artists in Thailand and strives to keep the art of handmade jewelry alive. The company is actively involved with multiple charities both in her native Thailand and the United States. She continues to find inspiration all over the world but is especially captivated by the flea markets of Paris.
