PRODUCT
This megalopolis is often daunting and overwhelming, but New York Chic, sees the Big Apple through the warm lens of Oliver Pilcher. It's a more intimate view of the megalopolis often daunting and overwhelming to its inhabitants and visitors. Everyday moments with the people of New York City, as they want to present themselves, illustrate the city’s true genius loci. This book assembles a visual definition of “New York chic,” and features New York icons, up-and-coming creatives and spaces that are uniquely New York. For instance, a tour of fashion designer Zaldy Goco's creative space in the financial district; a night out at La Goulue with impresario Omar Hernandez; and a walk through José Parlá's Brooklyn studio. Artists, writers, designers, chefs and others who have decided to call New York home share their thoughts about the beautiful metropolis. New York Chic immerses readers in the colorful, lively and sometimes contradictory aesthetics of this city of dreams and possibilities. This book is part of the Classics Collection from Assouline.
